M&M Hat

OK, so I need to go find the pix we took of Josh with the skittles bag on his head when he was a baby and post on here, too, but it's LATE, so I'm not gonna do it right now. However, AJ and I both thought of it when Sam found this bag, and decided to do a photo shoot!

See, it's empty, Mom.
Trying to put it on his head
Well, maybe I'll just chew on it
Mmmm...
M&M head!

Big smiles!

See him sitting up by himself?!!

He pulled himself up from this position to the one in the pix above

Little Boy Blue

Some adorable pix of Sam after his bath and mirror playing time. I took a LOT of pics that night, if you hadn't noticed!

This one's over exposed, but I think I actually like it this way...
Sam look
He loves to try to grab the camera!
Again, slightly over exposed, but looks kind of "antiqued" or something
What a cute little blue baby!

Aww, sweet smile!
Fascinating!
"Hey, there!"
His normal pose...fingers in mouth, chewing.

The joys of a mirror

The boys played in front of our mirror in their froggy towels after their bath!
AWW!!
Slightly obsessed with himself
So, does it count if the frog prince you're kissing is yourself??
"Seriously, Mom?"
"I'm cute!"

"Muuaaah!"

What a cute baby!
This picture reminds me of the baby in Baby, Dear...Man, I loved that book!
Watching intently
Good shot of the towel
Check out those toes
Groovin' baby!!

Bath time!

So I realized we had very few pix of Sam having baths, and Josh begs to have his bath with Sam all the time, so I got some pix the last time.

Josh being silly!
Sam in the tub (holding Josh's number 9, which Josh was NOT thrilled with).

The boys!
CUTE!

Rennovations

So we're finally getting around to doing something to our house, a year after moving in! AJ's got a couple of weeks off before he leaves for the deployment, so to celebrate, we went to Lowe's and got over $1000 in "project" supplies.

We're planning to put down wood flooring in the dining room to match the rest of the downstairs (natural engineered wood flooring) instead of the CRAZY white carpet that's currently in there. Seriously, who puts WHITE carpet in a dining room??? Then, at some point, I'd like to paint the room and get an area rug (maybe) for under the table, and a new light fixture, since the old one is UGH (aka cheap/ugly/hot/too bright).

Our wood.

We also have pulled out the horrible astroturf/outdoor carpet stuff they put in the screened-in porch. I don't know how many years it's been there, but there's that many years of MOLD built up on the floor. Or there was, making it very sticky to walk on. AJ pulled out the carpet and got rid of the spiders/buggies and we sprayed and swept it out. We're hoping it will dry out in a couple of days so we can put in our beautiful tiles that we bought today. We have charcoaly grey large tiles, and a few accent tiles that are white/stone colored with a metallic flower type piece in the center. They're really pretty, and the center part of the small tile picks up the color of the larger tiles.
What it looked like after being cleaned out and sprayed down. We're also going to replace that siding.
The blue things are foam squares...we washed them, too, so they were in the windows drying.
The grey larger tiles (not a great pic of them...sorry)

The smaller accent tiles...we think it'll turn out looking pretty great. We hope...
AJ planned the pattern all out (with the idea that started it coming from me, thank you very much!). I might scan in the design he drew out on graph paper (to scale) if I really just find myself with too much time on my hands...otherwise, you can look at the pix I'll post after it's done.
Let me know what you think!
