Here's Sir Josh, on his "noble steed", Daddy! Josh's Grandmom and Grandad bought this shield for him when he was very little, and he's recently started playing with it. Cute, huh?

Frustration

OK, so here's what I want to know: Why, if I take my child out of the tub when I know he's about to poop in it, and put him on the potty for 10 minutes, does he sit there and do nothing (and by nothing, I mean nothing goes in the potty...he was doing PLENTY of screaming!!), and then as soon as I give up, thinking I was wrong and put him back in the tub, he poops in there...and I mean, like, 2 seconds after I put him back in. WHY????? I was soooo frustrated and mad at him last night.

On a more positive note, I have a couple of pictures I'll try to post later...the camera is upstairs...plus, I'm sure we'll have even more pix soon, of Josh's Grandmom, who is coming to visit this next week...yay!! She gets here tomorrow, and we're excited...we get to go on this intense polish pottery trip, too, so if anyone wants anything, let me know soon. We leave Thursday.

Such a big boy!!

Our little Josh is a big boy who pees on the potty!!! Or at least has once, so far. I'm so excited! I also bought our first pack of pull ups today...I can't believe how big he is! We'll have to see if he'll do it again later. I'll try to post a picture later, too.

Josh's first playgroup and teeth

So today Josh and I went to our first "official" playdate...it was fun! There were several other ladies there from the 76th with their babies...Josh was almost the oldest...one boy there older, almost 3. Then Josh, and next in age was cute little Ella Rose, who's almost 1...she's precious and very precocious! She and Josh sort of played together. We were sad that Brennan couldn't come. There were also several smaller babies, all precious! Anyway...we had a good time...although Josh had a few meltdowns, due (probably) to new tooth coming in and also needing a nap. He normally goes down right after lunch, so he got pretty tired and fell asleep in the car on the way home. Which meant I couldn't go to the grocery store, but that's ok.
I would post pix, but like a dork, I forgot the camera. Oh, well, maybe next time.
Speaking of new teeth...Josh has all eight front teeth, 4 1-year molars, and 3 canines..the fourth is almost in. But tonight (when he was screaming) I thought I noticed another little whiteish spot in the back, where the next set of molars will be...I was hoping we'd have a break for awhile, but maybe not...arrrgh.
Also, Josh bit me tonight...on purpose...I put him in time out and told him no and he SCREAMED! Poor guy was tired out, but still that's not a good reason to bite Mama! So I'm glad he's upstairs sleeping soundly.
Well, I guess that's about it for now. Enough rambling.
